Papaya emerges as themed ingredient for 2024 St Kitts Nevis Restaurant Week

The St Kitts Nevis Restaurant Week organisers announced Papaya as the themed ingredient for this year’s exciting cuisine event. After several discussions and confusion between Banana, Carrot and Papaya, the latter has emerged as the trending ingredient in the streets.
This year, the St Kitts Nevis Restaurant Week will take place from July 11 to 21, 2024 and will feature a huge number of events and activities, including Cook, Sip and Glamp, Tasting Showcase, Taste at Twilight and Grill Fest. While announcing the theme ingredient, the officials said, “Your voices were heard and our Culinary Conversations fuelled the fire of our passion. We've been buzzing with excitement, and now it's official—Papaya will take your taste buds on an extraordinary culinary journey like never before!”The officials further asked everyone to get ready for an explosion of tropical temptations, mouthwatering twists and stunning inventive dishes which showcase the sheer awesomeness of this delicious ingredient.

From Tasting Showcase to Grill Fest and Cook, Sip & Glamp to Celebration at the Park, Papaya will be celebrated through food, art and culture.
Moreover, the locally grown ingredient will be on show at several events between July 11 - 21, including in participating restaurants' menus. It is also being anticipated that a special event dedicated to bring the best out of the themed ingredient will be hosted which will include special menu for the visitors.Every year, the twin island nation hosts the Restaurant Week to celerbrate its local cuisine and culture. Restaurants from across the island participate in this event and offer special menu at discounted prices for everyone.

As the excitement for the event is building up, the citizens expressed their happiness over Papaya as the themed ingredient.
“Yes love it. This was my choice. Now let see what they do with it,” wrote a user named Andrea Noddy Liburd while another user said, “Hopefully, it is local Papaya is used, because I see the supermarkets now selling imported Papaya.”
