Normal operations at Haiti airport following flood
Flights had been diverted to other countries.
Operations at Toussaint Louverture International Airport has returned to normal after water flooded arrivals and departure earlier this week.
The waterlogged terminal meant flights had to be diverted to the neighbouring Dominican Republic.
Irving Méhu, director general of Haiti's National Airport Authority, said sorry for the "disturbing situation, caused by the downpour on Tuesday, 2 May, causing the flood at the arrival and departure zones”.
Measures had been taken to ensure this didn't happen again, said Méhu, adding that “all the services of the airport (are now) functioning as usual”.
Nadia Lochard, co-coordinator of Civil Protection for the West Department, said heavy rain had caused floods since Sunday.
