Antigua: Nut Grove family held over guns and ammo

A family from Nut Grove, St John, have been taken into custody after Antigua’s police force discovered a weapon and ammunition at their home.
Officers from the criminal investigations department, narcotics, dog and rapid response units were all involved in the operation on Saturday.
A 9mm pistol and a matching round of ammunition was taken, and the suspect are said to be assisting police with their investigation.
Two bulletproof vests, camouflage clothing, electronic devices and money were also found.
Police also discovered clothing with “POLICE” printed across it.
“The items were seized and taken to the police station pending further investigations,” a statement from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda said.
