Montserrat to increase avocado production
Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Housing and the Environment Crenston Buffonge in a recent social media post made an appeal for citizens to assist in increasing the island’s avocado production.
He said the Ministry is on a drive to collect 500 avocado seeds this season.
The Minister is urging the public not to throw away their avocado seeds but to instead wash them and drop them off at the Agriculture nursery in Brades.
He believes this could help Montserrat secure its avocado production in years to come.
