Melissa Skerrit celebrated "mothers day" with constituents
Melissa Skerrit-Parliament, a representative from Roseau Central, celebrated mothers day with her constituents on Sunday.

Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Skerrit, Parliament representative from Roseau Central, celebrated mothers day with her constituents on Sunday. She also handed over gift packages to the mothers of her constituency.
She also honoured some exceptional mothers from the Roseau Central constituency. Melissa Skerrit awarded the women who have been supporting her throughout her political and philanthropic career.
Melissa Skerrit stated that her life changed forever when she herself became a mother, and things have been wondrous ever since.
In a Facebook caption, Melissa Skerrit wrote, "Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful, hardworking mothers; you all are the magic that keeps the world afloat."
Furthermore, she stated that the world rightfully takes a pause to celebrate Mother's Day.
"I decided to honour a few mothers from the Roseau Central constituency by inviting them to a special lunch. These exceptional women from my core team and have been working alongside me from the onset of my political career." wrote Melissa Skerrit on Facebook.
Parliament representative from Roseau Central also stated that each mother received a lovely bag of goodies in recognition of their day, and the wonderful treat will be followed by a spa day at Body Bliss Spa.
Melissa Skerrit also runs a foundation on her name where she supports education and food programmes across the country. She is also well-known for her feminist activities in the country and supports women entrepreneurship.
