Kyanna Dyer crowned Miss Dominica National Queen 2024

Kyanna Dyer has won the crown of Miss Dominica National Queen 2024 after a tough competition with five other young ladies from across the island. The pageant, which took place on Thursday, gave the contestants an opportunity to advocate and work for their platform.

The winner of this prestigious pageant has also won several other titles, including Miss Photogenic, Best National Spectacular Wear, Best In National Spectacular Wear, Best Performing Talent, Best in Evening Wear and Best Response to Question. The 20-year-old, Dyer, advocated the platform - Youth in Culture through the Arts and she chose this platform because this platform is deeply rooted in the fact that the youth are the driving forces which will control the preservation of a country's culture and its strength as a people. Following Kyanna Dyer, the first runner-up position was secured by Nickese Morancie, and the second runner-up was Jorjanna Albert. Morancie also won the Best Swimwear, Best In Swimwear and Best Evening Wear titles, while Albert won the People’s Choice and Miss Amity.

The six young ladies performed exceptionally and gave a hard competition to each other. The contestants included Jorjanna Albert, Nickese Morancie, Royhanna Martin, Kianne Bastien, Deniscia Laurent and Kyanna Dyer.

Following the pageant, the citizens and residents are overwhelmed as they got their new National Queen. People have flooded the Facebook with congratulatory messages and are wishing luck to all the contestants for future endeavours.

The Dominica Festivals Committee also took to social media to congratulate them and said, "Congratulations to all of our contestants for an excellent show and to all of their sponsors and sponsors of the Miss Dominica 2024 pageant!"

"Show was of a very high standard this year. All the ladies did well. Congratulations to Ms Dyer. Well judged," wrote a user named Jay Joseph. A user also said that the winner's outfit complimented her skin well and added, "Well Deserved. She rocks her costume and BEST TALENT. MISS INTELLIGENT."
