St. Kitts and Nevis: Janelle Williams, a hairstylist based in St Kitts and owner of JaHair Salon along with her sister Verlyn Williams, the makeup artist and owner of Bombshell Veve made huge waves on the international stage. The duo recently won their first international hair show in Atlanta, hosted by the renowned Taliah Waajid - World Natural Hair Show. The show created a much-needed arena for professionals and consumers to come together to learn and exchange information about natural hair care, health, and beauty products and techniques. The organiser of the show Taliah Waajid hosted the debut of this amazing show and vowed it make it an annual celebration. This year, the event took place on April 26-28 and featured epic giveaways, beauty panels, and amazing gift bags The sisters created amazing creations which were also made using scratch such as hair, clothing, jewellery, shoes and hairpieces. The unique crafts caught the attention of audiences and judges alike which made the Kittitian duo won the prestigious award. Their handmade designs showcased their technical expertise as well as their artistic flair and innovative vision. For their innovative designs, Janelle Williams and Verlyn Williams won a huge trophy after defeating all the other participants.

While sharing the glimpses of the event on the official Facebook account of JaHair Salon, the sisters outlined, “An entrepreneur with a vision. Everything is made from scratch using hair, clothing, jewellery, shoes and hairpiece. Oh, Barbie swimwear made from hair as well. The World Natural Hair Show was joined by several hair stylists from across the world but the Kittitian sisters proved themselves to be the best among others. Meanwhile, the citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis congratulated them for this huge victory through Facebook. “Skn clapping. The best hairstylist out of Skn Jahair just rocked it and won the hair competition in Atlanta yes. I love this lady so much,” wrote Sweet Sister Sensia while another user said, “Come through Janelle right out of Dieppe Bay Congratulations.”
