Jamaica: Police nabs kidnapper who stole 11-day-old baby from hospital

Jamaica: Police officials have successfully nabbed a woman who kidnapped an 11-day-old baby from her parents on Monday. According to the reports, the suspect took Kimoya Robe from the Victoria Jubilee Maternity Hospital and ran away. The police officials added that the woman was caught in the community of Dunkirk in East Kingston, Jamaica, with the baby in her custody. While informing the general public, Michael Phipps, Head of the Kingston Western Police, Senior Superintendent said that the baby is presently being medically examined at the Bustamante Hospital for Children. He informed that the baby was found in the custody of the person whom the parents suspected to have taken the baby. The baby named Kimoya Shantana Robe, was taken away from her 26-year-old mother, Christina Blake, while she was at the hospital for treatment. The police officials reported that after the treatment, the baby was left in the care of her mother, who was bound in a wheelchair while the father went to purchase some food for her. A woman who was known to the parents came to the mother and said that she would hold her, following which she disappeared from the hospital, leaving the parents in a state of utter shock. It was also said that the mother tried to stop the woman by shouting at her, but the kidnapper did not look back and left the area immediately. Although, the police has not revealed the name of the suspect but she is said to be in her thirtees, with a brown complexion, medium built and around five feet six inches tall. Meanwhile, the citizens and residents of Jamaica are calling it a 'good news' and are asking the parents to take good care of their child through their social media accounts. A user named Simone said, "Thank God she is found, but also the mother should be more careful. You can't give a young baby to a stranger. Don't trust people at this time." Another user named Janice Harris urged the hospital to increase security measures and wrote, "It appears to me that better security measures need to be in place but thanks to the cops who did an excellent job.very happy for the mom."
