Guyana is hosting its annual Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo for 2024 from January 19 to 22, 2024, in the Marriott Hotel, Georgetown.

Guyana is hosting its annual Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo for 2024 from January 19 to 22, 2024, in the Marriott Hotel, Georgetown.  The three-day annual conference will be held under the theme of Fuelling Transformation and Modernisation and will invite several major energy professionals from across the region and other parts of the world. 

The invited delegations include:

  • Irfaan Ali- President and Co-operative Republic of Guyana
  • Mark Anthony Phillips- Prime Minister of Guyana
  • Dr Bharrat Jagdeo- Vice President of Guyana
  • Dr Keith Rowley- Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Philip Davis- Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Bahamas
  • Andrew Parsons- Minister of Energy, Technology for Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada
  • Vikram Bharrat- Minister of Natural Resources of the Republic of Guyana
  • Dr Carla Barnett- Secretary General of the Caribbean Community
  • Carlos Pascual- Vice President and Head of Geopolitics and International Affairs
  • Mohammed Ashour- Co-founder and Chairman of Aspire from Texas
During the meeting, these professionals will have the opportunity to engage with each other and exchange their ideas, propositions and plans for the fundamental advances in the energy sector.  The conference is being sponsored by Blue Water Shipping, one of the Diamond Sponsors of this year's Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo. Further, the conference will also invite various local and regional companies who will participate and discuss some critical concerns affecting the nation's energy sector.  These concerns will be related to the Climate change, mitigation and maximising benefits of local content development in Guyana and the region. Notably, Western Logistics Inc. and Pandora Energy in Guyana have also participated in previous hostings of the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo. The company will return in 2024, satisfied that the Conference and expo helped them propel their businesses. Earlier, several project managers and professionals spoke about the efficiency of this annual conference. They shared that these conferences have helped many businesses to grow and expand.  Chitra Singh, Project Manager of Arrow Oilfield Services Inc. in Guyana, talked about her company’s participation at previous conferences and its positive impact on taking her business to new heights.
