Antigua and Barbuda: An injured Dolphin rescued at the West Bus Station, Antigua Yesterday. It was spotted struggling in the shallow waters.

For such great efforts of the fishermen, the public is extended thanks to him for his prompt and compassionate actions.
Considerably, such incidences come forth frequently as countries like Antigua and Barbuda have the geographical locations at the shores. Such an incident happened in the country gives the flashbacks of a similar incident that happened two years ago.
At that time as well, the injured dolphin was saved by the man. For this, a man alone jumped in the sea to save the dolphin. Further, the vet was called for the treatment, and was treated by him at the beach.
After proper treatment was given to the Dolphin, it was further left to the waters so it could lead a life. Considerably, the government of Antigua and Barbuda is taking significant steps towards safeguarding marine life.
In the country, fishing and tourism are the major activities in the country that directly impact Antigua and Barbuda’s Marine biodiversity. At present, in the country, the 4th international conference of Small Island Developing states (SIDS4) is live till May 30, 2024.
And, this as well will include the discussions and engagements for reinforcing programmatic actions for enhanced marine scientific capacities towards sustainable development of ocean economies. Such an economy aligns with the sustainable use of ocean resources that could benefit economies, livelihoods and ocean ecosystem health.
Such efforts commit the authority’s concern towards the country’s very own assets which includes marine population as well.
