Dominica vaccinated 1036 people on Tuesday
Commonwealth of Dominica vaccinated 1036 individuals on Tuesday from 9 am to 3 pm at eight health centres across the island.

After the successful vaccination of its front-line workers, the general public is also getting inoculated for free at all levels.In total over 8,238 people have received the vaccine in the country since it launched the drive.
Dominica received 70,000 doses of Oxford Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine from India, which they also shared with their sister nations like St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, and Guyana.The process of vaccine registration is made available to citizens, and it was be availed simply by filling a form. The form can be filled and submitted online; however, people can also visit their nearest.
Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit and President Charles Savarin are among the major personalities to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Dominica.In a recent Anou Pale episode, minister of health, wellness, and new health investment, Dr. Irvin McIntyre, stated the country is also running an awareness drive to inform the people about the coronavirus vaccine's benefits.
Dominica is among the very few countries in the world to record no coronavirus-related deaths, and it also recorded a total of 144 confirmed cases.
Despite having a relatively small population, the country aims to vaccinate all its citizens to ensure the safety of its people.Dominica is also expecting to receive vaccines from the COVAX facility, and the People's Republic of China has also promised to aid the country in terms of its vaccination drives.
The vaccination drive of Dominica is considered to be the largest in world history on a per-capita basis.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit earlier asked people not to trust any conspiracies related to the vaccine and ensured that the jabs are safe with no harmful effects.
He stated on Sunday that he didn't face any challenges or physical difficulties after taking the vaccine and encouraged people to follow suit.
