Dominica to welcome 2 cruises today, bringing over 4900 passengers
The MV Celebrity Silhouette, having a passenger capacity of 2886, will dock at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth, while the MV Eurodam will dock at Woodbridge Bay and has a passenger capacity of 2104.

Dominica is all set to receive two cruise ships, MV Celebrity Silhouette and MV Eurodam, on January 19, bringing over 4900 passengers to the island's shores.The MV Celebrity Silhouette, having a passenger capacity of 2886, will dock at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth, while the MV Eurodam will dock at Woodbridge Bay and has a passenger capacity of 2104.
Amid a thriving cruise season, the island is offering a lot to the passengers, including exclusive tours at reasonable prices along with warm hospitality.
The country also welcomed two cruises on January 18, which brought over 3000 passengers. The MV Mein Schiff 4 was docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth and brought around 2506 passengers, while the MV Seabourn Ovation brought around 600 passengers and was docked at Woodbridge Bay.Meanwhile, Dominica will also be welcoming MSC Explora 1 on January 20. This cruise will bring around 1000 passengers and will dock at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth.The following day, MV Enchanted Princess will come to the island and will bring a whopping 3562 passengers to Woodbridge Bay.The island anticipates having a total of 45 cruises this month, which will dock at different ports of the country. These cruise passengers engage in various excursions on the island, giving a major boost to the tourism sector.
Notably, the Ministry of Tourism of Dominica anticipates a total of 222 cruise calls for this season, which is a significant increase from 190 calls in the 2022-2023 cruise season.
These 222 calls are expected to bring more than 360,000 passengers to Dominica's shores. Notably, of these anticipated calls, 13 are expected to be inaugural. The island has also continuously received unscheduled calls since the beginning of this season and will continue to receive more.
The government of Dominica, along with the Ministry of Tourism, are working collaboratively to provide the best for the cruise passengers so that they would want to come back to the island with their family and friends.
