Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica, is expected to speak today for the first time since his country was struck by the full force of category five Hurricane Maria.
Other than the issuing of a curfew, the last official statement from Skerrit came late on Monday night, just after the prime minister had to be rescued from his home as 160mph (260kmph) winds took off his roof.

Skerrit is on his way to Antigua, where he is scheduled to talk on ABS Television/Radio at 12pm local time. A delayed flight pushed back the interview from the original time of 11.30am
The death toll from Hurricane Maria currently stands at least two dozen but is expected to rise.
Emmerson Anthony, our reporter on the ground, has been left homeless and described the situation as "simply terrible".
