People have been forced to avoid an area in Loubiere due to a landslide, according to local reports.
WIC News has reached out to the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force for further information. So far there has been no reports of injuries, and sources said that police officers from Grand Bay and Point Michel headed to the scene.
The area is still without electricity since Hurricane Maria struck, meaning investigations overnight have been difficult.
One local media outlet reported that a fire truck had attempted to access the scene but was unable to due to "derelict vehicles".
However some have taken to Facebook to say that despite people being "startled" there is nothing to worry about.
