Dominica Pan In De City Carnival is all prepared to take place within the streets of Roseau on January 20, 2024. Besides this New Year's excitement, the Carnival will add some festive sparks within the visitors and encourage them to dance to the rhythms of the Steelpan.
The Carnival is a part of the Mas Dominik 2024 Festival, which is also scheduled from January 6 to February 14, 2024.
Hosted by the Division of Culture, the Dominica Pan In De City Carnival will begin at 10 AM onwards and special attraction will the special Steel Pan music.
Notably, the steel pan is an iconic instrument across the Caribbean Region, with its home in Trinidad.
In Dominica, the rhythms of the steel pan appear for church celebrations, government ceremonies, cultural exhibitions, and so much more. The incredible instrument is intended to grace the town this time, leaving its echoes within the heart of every citizen.
The Mas Dominik Festival brings together African and French traditions, witnessing a dazzling display of social solidarity and a cultural explosion of Music, Art and Dance.
The Festival will include various events and create a unique sense of authenticity in the nation's culture. It delved into some highly classic aspects of the nation's culture and heritage, including Tranquillity, celebration, native and vibration.
