Chaguanas Carnival 2024 opens this week in Trinidad
Trinidad is hosting the prestigious Chaguanas Carnival 2024 from January 27th to February 13th, in Port of Spain
Moko Jumbies at Chaguanas Grand Launch Parade[/caption]The Chairman of the Carnival Committee (CCC), Renee Bailey, extended her heartfelt gratitude for the successful execution of the events and hoped that the event would be held incident-free. She also shared that the registrations will be continued daily during the festivities. She also shared that the budget of $500 this year has been allocated for the run of the Carnival.Here's the Complete Calender of Events for Chaguanas Carnival 2024:
- Saturday, January 27th: Grand Launch from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Chaguanas Main Road
- Monday, February 5th: Junior Calypso Semi Finals from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Saith Park
- Tuesday, February 6th: Senior Calypso Semi Finals from 5 PM to 8 PM at Saith Park
- Saturday, February 10th: Junior Calypso Finals from 4 PM to 8 PM at Saith Park
- Saturday, February 10th: Senior Calypso Finals from 7 PM to 9 PM at Ramsaran Street.
- Sunday, February 11th: Jouvert of the Bands from 2 PM to 6 PM at Ramsaran Street
- Monday, February 12th: Pan Fiesta from 5 PM to 9 PM at Ramsaran Street
- Tuesday, February 13th: Parade of the Bands/ Traditional Mas from 2 PM to 9 PM at Ramsaran Street.
