Brantley attends 2nd Annual Women's Self-Empowerment Workshop in Nevis

While informing about the visit, Mark Brantley noted, "Delighted this morning to give remarks and to spend some time with just over 20 participants at a workshop to mark International Women's Day."
He further thanks Special Advisor Latoya Biyanca Jones to hold the Workshop and stated that it encouraged women to explore themselves and show their talents to the world.
The Workshop has been conducted under the theme declared by the United Nations for the Internation Womens' Day of 2022- "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow".
Brantley emphasized that this was an incredible idea and aided Dr Linda Carty in facilitating and sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry and Department of Gender Affairs for assisting and to Ms Latoya Jeffers, Assistant Permanent Secretary, for her stirring remarks.
While outlining the significance of Gender Equality, the Premier of Nevis stated that Gender equality is about all of us, men and women, being allowed to play their full role in our national development.
"I wish each and every female across Nevis and the wider Federation a Happy International Women's Day", underscored Brantley.
Latoya Biyanca Jones, who has conducted the Workshop, thanked Premier of Nevis for his generous support on the special occasion; she expressed, "In my capacity as Special Advisor to the Premier, I was able to organize our 2nd Annual Women's Self-Empowerment Workshop under the UN theme "Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow." The Workshop was indeed a success".
She further encouraged women with a heartfelt message and stated that women are stronger together! As women, everyone must unite and let every voice be heard. Every woman must continue to empower, uplift and support each other.
Jones also expressed the sincerest gratitude to all parties involved and said Thank you to the participants, facilitator Dr Linda Carty, Premier Mark Brantley and colleagues at Premier's Ministry, and Latoya Jeffers, Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Gender.
Further, Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley also presented a small token of love to the women of his constituency and applauded women for their hard work in building the nations over the years."Your contribution to community and country is deeply appreciated, and we love you dearly", he added.
