The family members of the male immediately called the helpline, and the medical officers rushed to the scene.
According to the officials, the male was severely injured to the upper body and was retrieved from the water, where he was provided with Cardiopulmonary resuscitation until the arrival of a professional doctor. The doctor, upon arrival, examined the victim, confirmed no signs of life and said that the individual succumbed to his injuries. Additionally, police officials are continuing their investigations to determine the exact cause of death.
This is the second death in the Bahamas, which took place within a week. Earlier on Monday, a 74-year-old man encountered difficulties while diving in the waters off Normans Cay, which led to his immediate death. The reports stated that efforts were made to rescue the victim from the water, and CPR was given, but the man died because of the water which went inside his lungs.
Meanwhile, these deaths have sparked concerns related to the security of the tourists and residents in the Bahamas, with people urging the government to have a system on all the beaches in the country. This will ensure that people can be saved if they encounter any difficulty during the water activities.
