Antigua-Barbuda: Girl aged two dies after being struck by vehicle

A two-year-old girl was killed and two women left injured after a road accident at Johnson’s Point yesterday afternoon.
According to reports, the child suffered severe internal injuries as well as wounds to her upper body.
The condition of the two women has not been released but WIC News understands that they are stable and recovering in Mount St John’s Medical Centre.The incident occurred just before 4pm local time.
Police are yet to formally identified the victim.
Without an official statement from police, various reports are emerging from the scene.
The Antigua Observer states that the driver of the vehicle is in custody. But another man travelling with the driver may have fled the scene, writes Antigua News Room. WIC News has approached the police for more information.Latest
