Only 7 active COVID-19 cases in Dominica with no deaths

Roseau, Dominica: As per the recent data shared by the Minister of health and wellness, Dominica, there are only seven active COVID-19 cases in the country with no-virus related deaths. Minister of health and wellness Dominica also stated that the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country is 157, while there are only five patients under investigation. There are also 20 people currently in GOCD quarantine. Dominica also started its vaccination drive in February, and over 17,674 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. It was also among the first countries to procure vaccine in the region. Besides this, in March, Dominica received over 20,000 doses of the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine from the People's Republic of China. Since the vaccine drive started in the country, no person experienced critical reactions to the coronavirus vaccine. President Charles Savarin, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and other cabinet members also received their first doses of the vaccine Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine, while Melissa Skerrit received the dose of Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine.
