The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, was delighted to attend the opening of Six Senses La Sagesse Hotel in Grenada. He said the Six Senses brand is committed to sustainability and wellness and expressed his pleasure for the Caribbean neighbour and fellow OECS nation.
PM Drew's presence at the ceremony on Monday showcases his dedication and support towards his neighbouring nations.
While sharing glimpses of the resort, the Prime Minister noted that the hotel was originally supposed to be built in St Kitts at La Valley, but the investors instead went to Grenada after 2015 and remarked, "This loss was significant." The Six Senses Hotel provided up to 1000 construction jobs and another 750 long term hotel jobs, added PM Drew.It is to be noted that the resort will open its doors in April 2024 and is located between the ocean and a protected cove on Grenada. It features 56 pool suites and 15 villas on either a hillside or beachfront setting, either one, two, or four bedrooms.
In addition to this, the property's two story Six Sense Spa overlooks the lagoon and offers the visitors a state-of-the-art gym as well as a yoga pavilion which can be accessed round the clock. The resort also has several treatment rooms as well as an outdoor panoramic sauna, cold plunge pool, hot pool and Knipp therapy pool. Six Sense La Sagesse also boasts several dining options, including the signature restaurant SeaFire, the poolside Panquai Breeze Bar, the all-day eatery, Callaloo and a café Scoop. The hotel also has an Experience Center where visitors can build their itineraries to explore the island. As Prime Minister Drew congratulated the fellow nation following the opening of this luxurious resort, several citizens of St Kitts and Nevis lauded him for this gesture.
"This is very professional of you. You truly are a upstanding PM supporting our Caribbean community," wrote a user named Nicole Edwards-Francis while another user said, "We can't have it all. Live and let our neighbors live a deserving and worthy life also. Nice."
