PM Roosevelt Skerrit assures Dominica's full support to CSG Patricia Scotland
Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit met Commonwealth General Secretary Patricia Scotland QC at his office on Thursday.

Elections to fill the post will be held during the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Kigali, Rwanda, in June.She also met Dominica's Minister for Planning, Economic Development, Climate-Resilience, Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy Vince Henderson and produced children’s books on sustainable energy & deep sea minerals, as well as her biennial report."We enjoyed useful talks about @commonwealthsec impact over the past 6 yrs, as well as progress to come with programmes such as the Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub, Commonwealth Sustainable Energy Agenda & Commonwealth BlueCharter," she Tweeted.[embed]https://twitter.com/PScotlandCSG/status/1529960732057550850[/embed]
Scotland- A Dominican born is the first woman to hold the position of Secretary-General of the Commonwealth. She is currently on her Caribbean tour as she works toward retaining her position as the Secretary General of the Commonwealth.
Just two days earlier, she landed in St Kitts and Nevis and the met Prime Minister Timothy Harris during the visit.
