Indonesian woman acquitted of blasphemy for taking dog into mosque

Indonesian lady who specialists state ought to get mental treatment was absolved on Wednesday of sacrilege charges for bringing a pooch into a mosque.
Suzette Margareth was discharged after a board of three judges at Cibinong District Court in West Java territory absolved her of the charges due to her psychological wellness.
"The litigant can't be sentenced because for her failure to accept obligation as she has a mental issue," managing judge Indra Meinantha Vidi said in the decision, "What she has done was a piece of her psychological instability." Many Muslims believe pooches to be unclean.
A video that circled online in Muslim-lion's share Indonesia last July shows a pooch going around a mosque in the West Java area of Bogor while a steamed Margareth contends with stunned admirers.
Angered conservative Muslims constrained police to carry the case to court.
Obscenity is a criminal offence in Indonesia with the most significant punishment of five years in jail. The pooch, which was driven out of the mosque, kicked the bucket a day later when it was hit by a vehicle as individuals from a creature welfare bunch attempted to catch it.
