Guyana: 41-year-old woman loses life in road accident
As per reports, a woman lost her life in a recent incident at Corentyne Berbice near the Nigg Public Road.

The lack of strict car roads is leading to new road accidents in Guyana every day. As per reports, a woman lost her life in a recent incident at Corentyne Berbice near the Nigg Public Road.
Police say Khamwattie Mangar Karpen, age 35 was driving the Motor car number HB 9593; and motorcycle CG 4684 driven by Rajendra Khadaroo, age 41 (now deceased). Their enquiries disclosed that the motor car was moving east along Nigg Public Road at a medium rate of pace and while attempting to negotiate a turn on the road, the motor car ended up into the path of the now-deceased motorcyclist who was proceeding along the said road on his motorcycle, without wearing a safety helmet, at an alleged fast rate of speed. The motorcycle and the car collided.
As a result of the collision, the now deceased man (Rajendra Khadaroo) was flung off of the cycle onto the front windscreen of the said car then onto the road surface where he received injuries about his head and body.
He was picked up by public spirited citizens and rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty who pronounced him dead on arrival.
Subsequently, between 10:00 hrs and 10:20 hrs today, a Post Mortem Examination with Dissection was performed on the deceased (Rajendra Khadaroo) at the Port Mourant Public Hospital Mortuary by Doctor V. Bridgmohan (Government Pathologist).
The Doctor opined the caused of death as multiple injuries. The body of the deceased was later handed over to relatives for burial.
Following that, police officials carried a breathalyzer test on the driver of the motor car. The driver remains in custody helping with the investigation.
