Grenada to provide low-income housing units to residents in Corinth
Grenada: The Housing Authority of Grenada is all set to begin distribution of low income housing units in Corinth, St David. These units will be provided to the needy families across the constituency.  According to the information, the financial institutions were notified of the availability of the legal documentation for the units on Monday The officials further added that from March 19 to 22, between 9 am to 6 pm in Corinth, the following will take place:
  • Assigned units will be available for inspection for pre-approved clients (appointment for viewing required)
  • Clients can set up an appointment by contacting HAG’s main office
  • Inspections will be conducted in the presence of HAG officials 
  • All queries by a client must be noted on inspection forms 
In addition to this, the housing units will be distributed in the following order:
  • Corinth, St David 
  • The Villa, St Patrick 
  • Dumfries, Carriacou
  • Beausejour, St George
  • Diamond, St Mark
Meanwhile, from March 25 to 28, between 9 am to 6 pm, the inspection of units will be opened to other shortlisted applicants (appointment for viewing required). The client can set up an appointment by contacting the HAG head office.  The Housing Authority of Grenada also added that the acquisition process of the Condominium is as follows:
  • Inspection and acceptance of unit 
  • Signing of sale agreement 
  • Preparation of conveyance by the legal team
  • Finalization of transition between financial institutions, HAG and legal team
  • Hand over of keys to the homeowner
Meanwhile, the inspections of units at the other locations will commence on the following days, Mondays to Fridays (9 am to 6 pm): 
  • The Villa, St Patrick – April 2 onwards 
  • Dumfries, Carriacou – April 2 onwards 
  • Beausejour, St George – April 15 onwards 
  • Diamond, St Mark – April 29 onwards 
The Government of Grenada is passionate about improving the quality of life for citizens across the community and one of the ways they are doing this is by designing, constructing, and supervising the building of comfortable, adequate and durable housing. The first housing units were provided in 2020 and since then the government is working to provide the needy residents with the same.
