Prince Harry to host event for US army veterans with Jill Biden
xUS First Lady Jill Biden is organizing a virtual event with UK's Prince Harry for athletes involved in the Warrior Games.

The US Department of Defense Warrior Games, first held in 2010, is usually an annual event "that celebrates the resilience and commitment of wounded, sick, and wounded active duty, veteran US military service members," the office said.
The 2021 Warrior Games were scheduled to launch this week in Orlando, Florida. Due to the COVID-19 and safety of athletes as well as their families the event was cancelled. It will now be held virtually.
Prince Harry, a combat veteran who has served two tours in Afghanistan, is the founder of The Invictus Games, a multinational sporting event for injured service members and veterans. He first competed in the 2013 Warrior Games in Colorado.US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Ken Fisher, head of the Fisher House Foundation - which gives housing for families of patients undergoing medical care in military and veterans affairs medical centres - will also attend the virtual event.
Biden, Prince Harry, Austin and Fisher had assured their presence in person at the games before they were cancelled.
Joe Biden's son from his first wife Beau Biden was also a US Army veteran. He also served for one year in Iraq during the war.
Jill Biden- The first lady of the US has a long background of maintaining and supporting the adaptive sports community through Joining Forces, the White House initiative to support army and veteran families, nursing staff and survivors.
