Prince Williams receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Prince Williams has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He stated that he received the jab this week. The information was shared on the official Twitter of the Kensington Royal.

Prince Williams (38), the grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and the second in line for the British throne, revealed on Twitter that he received the shot earlier this week. He shared the news with a photo of when he received the injection in London's Science Museum.

"On Tuesday, I received my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine," he said. "To everyone who works on vaccination - thank you for everything you have done, and keep going."

Prince William tested positive for COVID-19 in April last year, about the same time as his father, the heir to the throne, Prince Charles, although he kept the news secret until November.

According to media reports, he did not want to alert anyone, and he has been hit pretty hard by the virus. Other royal family members also announced that they had received their vaccine doses, including the 95-year-old monarch and Charles. The queen said the shot was swift and did not hurt.

Britain delivered the first shot of a vaccine to nearly 37 million people in one of the world's fastest implementations. Prime Minister Boris Johnson claims that over 70% of the adult population in the UK is vaccinated. He stated that 7 in 10 adults have received their COVID-19 vaccination in the country.

The United Kingdom was the first country to initiate mass vaccination of the general public against the coronavirus.
