Miss World 2026: Trinidad and Tobago’s Georgia-Lee Gill wins regional challenge

Trinidad and Tobago: Georgia-Lee Gill, Miss World Trinidad and Tobago has secured her place amongst the Top 40 of Miss World 2026 after winning the Americas and Caribbean regional leg of the Head-to-Head Challenge in Nha Trang, Vietnam on 23rd August 2026.

Gill presented her Beauty With a Purpose project, 'The Silver Circle', which campaigned for better care, resources and guidance for families and caregivers of loved ones living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Her presentation was key in earning her a spot in Top Five representatives from the region, alongside delegates from The Bahamas, Martinique, Bolivia and the United States.

It was then up to the Top Five to deliver messages to young girls and women in their respective regions. Gill was able to resonate with the judges, delivering an uplifting message on women and girls believing in themselves and going after whatever future they desired.

Judges resonated with her message, landing her the title of Americas and Caribbean winner, propelling Trinidad and Tobago into the Miss World Top 40.

I think we can see from my face how shocked I am by this, but I'm so unbelievably grateful," Gill said, reacting to the news.

She went on to congratulate the other regional finalists and thanked the judges and her supporters.

It is back-to-back success for Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss World Head-to-Head Challenge, 2025's national representative, Annalise Nanton, also won the regional challenge to secure a Top 40 spot.

Gill has also progressed to the Top 60 of the Top Model competition, with the finals expected to take place on 28th August 2026. One representative from each region will be fast-tracked to the Top 40.

Gill also spoke of her gratitude to host country Vietnam, comparing the friendliness and vibrancy of the country to her own Caribbean roots and praising the country's history, architecture and cuisine.

The Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Organisation credited the interview and Head-to-Head coach, Adrian Raymond, and stage performance and deportment coach, Richard Young, for preparing Gill to take on the competition.

The organisation said one challenge has been overcome and one place within the Top 40 secured, with more to come as Gill's campaign progresses.
