Kenny D. Anthony meets 108-year-old Octavie Augustine
Castries, St Lucia: The former Prime Minister and parliament representative from Vieux South constituency visited Ms Octavie Augustine- an 108 years old resident. Parliament Representative Kenny D. Anthony stated that Ms Octavie Augustine would be 109 years old on August 14, 2021. He said that the older women's granddaughter arranged the visit. Anthony stated that the elderly woman wanted to meet him before leaving this world, and he had a great time talking to her and discussing how things changed from then to now "Ms Augustine wanted to see me before her departure from this earth. Ms Augustine is sharp, witty and hospitable. She insisted that I did not leave without having a drink and lamented that she was unable to give me any sweet potatoes to return home because the land is now bare." stated Ms Octavie Augustine.  The 108 years old Ms Octavie Augustine shared her memories of SLP meetings and spoke about how the community changed over time. "She even has pet names for some of our talk show personalities. I count yesterday as a great joy and feel blessed that Ms Augustine wanted to share her time, knowledge and memories with me. May God continue to bless and guide her." stated
