Two charged after illegal firearms discovery in St Kitts and Nevis
Searches last weekend uncovered weapon and ammunition
Two men have been charged in relation to the discovery of weapons and ammunition in St Kitts and Nevis last weekend.
Jones Merritt, of Carifesta Village, and Lebron Walters, of Olando Drive, Frigate Bay, were taken into custody on Friday evening.
Their arrest followed a cache found by police containing a loaded gun and 98 rounds of ammunition.
Walters has been granted $20,000 bail and is due to return to court on 12 June.
He has also been ordered to surrender his travel documents and report to Basseterre Police Station every Friday.
WIC News have been unable to confirm whether Merritt, whose property was searched after officers obtained a warrant, has been bailed.Author Profile
