St Kitts and Nevis records only one COVID-19 case in 14-days
St Kitts and Nevis recorded only one imported COVID-19 case in the last fourteen days and only one pending results from the laboratory, the health ministry reported on Sunday.
New data released by the ministry of health St Kitts and Nevis[/caption]St Kitts and Nevis reported the first coronavirus case on 24 March 2020 when a 21-year-old male and a 57-year-old female who had returned from New York, United States. Both were St Kitts and Nevis nationals.Following the first two cases, on 28 March 2020, the country recorded five more cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases to seven ageing from 10 months to 36years. Soon after, more people started to test positive, and the government had to close the borders, including the implementation of a state of emergency for six months. All gatherings were limited, and only essential facilities could operate.
