Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris addressed the public on the ongoing political crisis in the country. He accepted that there are certain misgivings in the public domain regarding the issues raised by the team unity partners. He assured the people that “St Kitts and Nevis remains stable” and every effort is being made to maintain the peace.He said, as the Prime Minister of the country, he took several steps to answer several issues raised by “Team Unity” partners.“I have responded to those issues in writing, I intend to respect the period of mourning, I call on all political actors and parties to exercise restraint, demonstrate good judgement, and respect during this period,” said Timothy Harris.“Fellow citizens and residents, as we mourn, let us do so decently and in order; no less is expected of us,”.

He said that the governor-general S.W Tapley Seaton has declared a ten-day mourning period which will end on April 30. Furthermore, Prime Minister stated that all flags in St Kitts and Nevis are at half-mast.
