The island of Nevis officially opened the most awaited Park at Pinney's. With the opening of the new park, now the general public can come and enjoy all the activities. Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, stated that the park's completion could only happen due to the generosity of the government and people of Taiwan who worked closely with the Nevis Island Administration (NIA). He also called the day "historic" for Nevis and invited people to visit the park.  An official opening ceremony was also held at 4:40 pm on Sunday, followed by movies on the amphitheatre lawn and the Taiwanese Trade Show in the visitor centre.

Brantley stated that Park at Pinney's is a dream realized and delivered on time. He said the government of St Kitts and Nevis continue to fulfil the promises it made in its manifesto. He also shared mesmerizing images of the park, displaying the beautiful architecture and tidy garden.  Furthermore, he stated that Pinney's Park would become a beloved attraction for tourists and locals. He said the project took many years to complete, and the wait was worth it.  He said the park would boost the economic spirits of Nevis and also allow families to gather and enjoy their leisure time. Premier said it is a powerful model of "development".   He also acknowledged the continuous support of the Republic of China in assisting St Kitts and Nevis in achieving its infrastructural goals. "It was Sunday 14th July 2019, when we were honoured with the visit of President Tsai Ing-wen, who signalled the start of this enormous project; it was the very first time when President Tsai visited the federation of St Kitts and Nevis," said the Premier.  He said the Pinney's Park is a testament to the power of ideal friendship and collaboration, "It demonstrates that great things can be accomplished through diplomatic alliances and cooperations".  Brantley emphasized that "Diplomacy Matters". He said the Republic of China Taiwan has been the best diplomatic ally and friend of St Kitts and Nevis for nearly four decades.
