Google marks Leap Day with a doodle
Saturday, 29th February 2020

Google is observing Leap Day today with a doodle. Leap Day, which comes at regular intervals on February 29, is a day seen in different sunlight based calenders including Gregorian schedule.
However, even in the Greforian calendar, years that are distinct by 100, yet not by 400, don't contain a leap day.
The Earth's orbital revolution around Sun takes 6 hours longer than 365 days, and Leap Day repays this slack and realigns the schedule with the Earth's situation in the Solar System.
