Dominica to get International Airport by 2025, construction agreement signed
The agreement for the construction of the International Airport of Dominica was signed by the Montreal Management Company Establishment Limited (MMCE)

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit stated that people waited for generations for the International Airport patiently, and now the dream of thousands of Dominicans is coming into reality.
He said that the International Airport would complete in five years, with direct flights coming from Europe and the United States of America. The project is estimated to cost over 1 billion Eastern Caribbean dollars and will be built in five phases. The International Airport will be accomodating big commercial and cargo flights from across the world. The prime minister stated that the airport's construction would increase connectivity to Dominica and provide widespread employment opportunities during construction and after completion. The project is believed to employ 3000 during the building for five years.He added that this airport would traverse Dominica to a broader economy and provide to the country's growth and development. PM said it would also open connections for regional & international tourism.
CEO of Montreal Management Company Establishment Limited (MMCE) Anthony Haiden stated that his company is overwhelmed to be part of International Airport's construction.
