Barbados: Caribbean country Barbados has partnered with a global digital health system, to assist COVID-19 testing services for travellers from the United States (US) to Barbados.

As per Azova, who made a public statement, a company describing itself as a digital health platform, giving a turn-key solution with automated onboarding, network management, credentialing tools, & management of clinical programmes, said it would provide the coronavirus testing service.

Notably, The Alpine, Utah headquartered company, which was established in 2014, pointed out that American travellers can also request a concierge to visit at their home, office or hotel to complete the required PCR nasal swab prior to arrival on the island. Barbados’ coronavirus travel protocols insist on a nasal COVID-19 test 3 days prior to coming on the island.

For quarantine statement and return testing, Azova said in a statement it was partnering with “all the major testing providers in Barbados”. The company also pointed that the on-island testing service is available at hotels, residences, businesses, also a network of certified labs.

Craig Hinds, interim (CEO) chief executive officer of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI), said, “This partnership represents a step in the right way as we continue to work on innovative ways of improving safe travel to Barbados.”

He also added: “This digital platform expands the choices of travellers from the United States, one of our important source markets.

Barbados is one of the major tourist's places in the Caribbean countries.
