500,000 COVID-19 cases reported in a day throughout the world, biggest increase till now

Global coronavirus cases increased by more than 500,000 for the first time on Wednesday, a single one-day increase as countries beyond the Northern Hemisphere reported daily spikes.
Global daily COVID-19 cases have increased by approximately 25% in less than two weeks as the world observed 400,000 daily described instances for the first time last Friday.
Most western nations and parts of Latin America have reached their highest single-day surges in the past few weeks.

The global coronavirus statistics stands at 44.7 million cases and about 1.17 million deaths.
