Open firing kills 1 woman leaving two injured in Afghanistan

Kabul, Afghanistan: A terrifying incident was reported in the Islamic state after the security forces of Afghanistan opened fire on a rickshaw in Kandahar. The incident took place on Saturday, February 19, 2022, which killed a woman and left the other two injured. As per the reports, the rickshaw refused to stop at the checkpoint, following which the open fire action was taken by the forces. The local media house in the Islamic state asserted, "A woman was killed, and two more were wounded when security forces opened fire on a rickshaw that did not stop at a checkpoint in the city of Kandahar on the afternoon of Saturday". The identities of the deceased and the other two wounded have not been disclosed. The situation of women in Afghanistan: As per the reports of the local media, the condition of women remains unstable and menacing in the South Asian nation. Recently, at least four women human rights activists were detained by the Taliban fighters, though all of them were freed later. Women are still being harassed and threatened in the Islamic state. Following the hunger and poverty crisis in the country, impoverished families are forced to sell their daughters in return to feed their families. The rate of violence against women has taken a soar since the Taliban regime took over Afghanistan that is on August 15, 2021 creating more complicated and worse situations for them. Numerous international organizations and leaders of countries across the globe have condemned the all men government for the condition of women in Afghanistan. The literacy rate among women is very low in the country as they are kept deprived of education. Recently, the Taliban regime imposed a regulation, according to which women population in Afghanistan is not permitted to travel a specified distance unless they are not accompanied by a close male relative.
