Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris attended the "18th Annual Help A Child Programme" event in constituency number 7. He awarded the children and said it is always a pleasure for him to interact with young nationals of his country.
PM Harris shared the images on his social media accounts, where the kids were happy to pose alongside their honourable leader. He said investment in children is of utmost importance as they are the future of St Kitts and Nevis.
He said initially, the programme was open only to the students in Constituency 7's four primary schools: Violet Petty Primary in Lodge, Joshua Obadiah Williams Primary in Molineux, Estridge Primary in Mansion and Edgar T. Morris Primary in Tabernacle.
"In recent years, I am pleased that we have been able to provide awards for students living in Constituency 7 but studying outside it in Cotton Thomas Comprehensive School in Basseterre or in other primary schools.
Children are our future. Let's invest in them," said Prime Minister Harris.
St Kitts and Nevis, under the "Team Unity" government, has been investing heavily to improve the educational facilities. The government is providing tremendous support to help the children get the best of education within or outside the country by giving scholarships.
