PM Roosevelt Skerrit visits Giraudel as Flower Show returns after five years
Giraudel, Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, toured the Flower Show site in Giraudel. The preparations are underway at the site as the Flower Show returns in October 2022.  He was accompanied by Chekira Lockhart Hypolite - Parliamentary Representative for Roseau South. He pledged the government's support in not only making the Flower Show a success but is also developing the site to create year-round economic activity. The famous Giraudel-Eggleston Annual Flower will be resuming its operations after five years of gap; it was last held in 2016.

The market will be formally opened on 27 Mary 2022, with a special fair to be hosted in reception. Following the opening, a local creole brunch will also be hosted on 28 May and a special garden tea party on 29 May 2022.  The market is spread in over 2.6 acres of land; it has become a permanent site for "Flower Show/Market Fair". The entire market is a colourful place, with a botanic centre, and an exquisite garden. Besides this, there are several other natural products of Dominica available at the location.  The Giraudel flower market is also a famous tourist destination, where hundreds of tourists like to visit due to its enchanting beauty and different types of flowers contributing to the overall atmosphere.
