Nevis continues to meet water needs with a well capacity of 2.1 million imperial gallons per day

Nevis administration on Tuesday celebrated World Water Day 2022 under the theme "Groundwater - making the invisible visible". Spencer Brand, Cabinet Minister in the Nevis Island Administration and parliamentary representative for the St. Pauls constituency, shared images on his Facebook account.

Brand said the Nevis administration continues to meet the general Public's needs with the well capacity of 2.1 million imperial gallons per day, "we still have to ensure we have reserves to keep the invisible visible and for any eventuality,".

He also thanked the NWD Manager and other staff for their hard work in helping the administration maintain the water needs of people.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank the NWD Manager and staff, our Operations Manager and staff at our water depot, our Water Resource Manager, and staff for their hard work in ensuring that the people of Nevis continue to have a safe and adequate supply of water, 24/7.

Sincere thanks to all those who have retired over the last year from the NWD; your service to nationhood is well appreciated," said Spencer Brand.

He also wished Happy World Water Day 2022 to everyone, saying he hopes to continue doing all he can to keep precious water resources available in abundance for generations.

Besides this, Nevis Water Department's Water Production Crew also carried out a Pump Removal and Installation On World Water day.
