Dr Timothy Harris sworn in for a second term as the Prime Minister of SKN

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris sworn in for a second term in office after achieving a tremendous victory in general elections on June 05. Dr Harris described it as a historic day for himself.
Justice Trevor Ward swore Dr Harris in his second term of office as the head of government of St Kitts and Nevis.
Dr Harris asserted that he is standing tall on his words of just serving two terms as the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis.
"I only intend to serve two terms in the office of Prime Minister; I shall always be indebted for the excellent support of Hon Shawn Richards provided over the five years, I will repay him as often as necessary because he has earned my trust and confidence," added Dr Harris
Besides this, he stated that it is an honour for him to have the opportunity of being sworn in for the second time as the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis.
Dr Harris recalled his childhood memories and stated that his dream was more of becoming a teacher than a politician; however, later on after grade five, he wanted to be a lawyer.
Furthermore, he stated that the outstanding success at the June 05 polls is an indication to the excellent work done by Team Unity, and its work surpassed the promises that were made.
"We shall make the modern history for St Kitts and Nevis by making it the best-managed island country," added Dr harris
He added that Team Unity has made history as the first coalition government in the federation to be returned after an election with an increased majority.
Dr Harris stated that people of St Kitts and Nevis understands that the political campaign shall only be based on the future.
He added that the administration under his leadership would never let down the people of St Kitts and Nevis, and they shall always work towards fulfilling the promises that were made during the election campaigning.
Dr Harris also congratulated the party members for their support and hard work, and he stated that former minister Ian Patches Liburd served as the finest public infrastructure minister in the country and his work will always be commended.
