Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr. Timothy Harris is completely shattered to know about the sudden passing of Ambassador and former Premier of Nevis Vance Amory. He said Amory was his true friend, a mentor, and an advisor who helped start the journey of "Team Unity".
PM Harris stated that with the passing of Ambassador Vance Amory, St Kitts and Nevis lost a true patriot and elder statesman who left an indelible mark on the development of the country.
"With his invaluable partnership, and support, Team Unity was formed with the significance of transcending traditionally limiting political boundaries that held back the development of St Kitts and Nevis," said Harris.
Harris also stated that he was able to spend some time with him days before he left St Kitts and Nevis and was in close contact with Amory while he was in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, Harris said that his journey as the Prime Minister had been enriched through Vance Amory's wise counsel and friendship.

Harris also stated that he was able to spend some time with him days before he left St Kitts and Nevis and was in close contact with Amory while he was in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, Harris said that his journey as the Prime Minister had been enriched through Vance Amory's wise counsel and friendship.
"We owe it to Ambassador Amory's memory to maintain the integrity and principles of the Team Unity movement to which he was fully committed straight from the historic launch in September 2013 and the general election victory in February 2015,".Besides this, Prime Minister Harris also extended condolences to the family of Ambassador Amory, particularly his wife, daughters, siblings, and grandchildren. Ambassador Vance Amory, who was also an Ambassador and former Premier of Nevis, passed away on Saturday. As per reports, he was receiving some medical attention in the United Kingdom, where he took his last breath. He will be accorded a State Funeral, the details of which will be made public in some time. An official period of mourning will also be observed in St Kitts and Nevis, with consultation from Governor-General Sir Tapley Seaton Q.C.
