Belize confirms 44 new cases of COVID-19

Belize has confirmed 44 new coronavirus cases and 27 new recoveries, and 0 New Deaths listed in the last 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health & Wellness Belize.

Belize: Belize has confirmed 44 new coronavirus cases and 27 new recoveries, and 0 New Deaths listed in the last 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health & Wellness Belize. Notably, the Ministry of Health & Wellness urges everyone over the age of 18 to get vaccinated at the nearest public health facility. Also, even after getting vaccinated, persons are to continue maintaining social distance, wash and sanitize hands often and wear masks properly in public. In addition, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has started its coronavirus vaccine campaign nationwide. We are officially at Phase 5, calling out all persons 18 years & older to get vaccinated. Persons from Phases 1, 2, 3 & 4 are still motivated to get vaccinated. Ministry of Health & Wellness Belize shown vaccination data of last 24 hours : Today's Vaccination: 1,918 Total Persons Vaccinated: 116,426 Fully Vaccinated: 43,857 Today's vaccination data includes the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines. As per the Health Ministry, people can register themselves for vaccination:https://vrsa.health.gov.bz/ Ministry further noted that Vaccinations are now available for everyone; 18 years & older. Persons who have been vaccinated for at least eight weeks are asked to visit any Ministry of Health & Wellness' health facility to get their second dose of the vaccine. "We also advise that even after receiving vaccinated, persons are to continue wearing a face mask properly in public, manage consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, also wash and sanitize hands often. Please be safe & stay at home unless attending essential business." Ministry added in a press statement. Belize is a nation on the eastern coast of Central America, including Caribbean Sea shorelines to the east & dense jungle to the west. Belize’s jungle regions are home to Mayan ruins like Caracol, renowned for its towering pyramid; lagoon-side Lamanai; & Altun Ha, just outside Belize City.
