Jamaican woman found murdered at her Florida home

A Jamaican-born woman, 45, was found dead at her home in Port St Lucie, Florida, where she had lived for several years. The crime was reported on Tuesday, and the victim has been identified as Karesha Brissett, The body was discovered by a coworker of the victims who went to Brissett's apartment after she failed to show up for work. When the friend arrived at Brissett's house, she noticed that the rear sliding glass door had been broken, and she immediately called for help and assembled a crowd of people. Brissett's backyard was filled with shot casings, according to police reports. The police sources said that the 45-year-old was shot several times before being slain through a sliding glass door of his apartment. The fact that Brissett was slain in this manner surprised no one, given that she was a deeply pious lady who was strongly involved in her religion." The Port St Lucie Police Department has asked the general public to come forward and provide them with information on the incident, if they have any, and has guaranteed the family of the deceased that justice will be served.
