A police official by profession forgot about his 1-year-old baby in the car. The man who is a sergeant in the Jamaica police told investigators that he had plans to drop the kid at the daycare; however, he literally forgot about the child and went straight to work.
After finishing his eight-hour shift in the Black River Police Station, he returned and found the baby in an unconscious state. He rushed the kid to the hospital; however, the doctors declared the girl "brought dead".
The incident left everyone outraged over the conduct of the father, who claims to be apologetic to the incident. His family and friends are coming to the rescue, calling him a "good dad" who always took care of the baby in a nice manner.
His friends told the media that the incident happened because the father was under "a lot of work-related pressure".
The one-year-old baby was usually taken care of by her grandmother as both her parents are cops; however, the grandmother was sick, so the father was playing the part. As per reports, it was the baby's third day at the daycare.
The baby's mother is in so much grief after losing the baby to her husband's carelessness.
Jamaican child advocate Betty-Ann Blaine described the incident as bizarre.
