St Kitts and Nevis: St. Kitts and Nevis simultaneously with the wider Caribbean region is being marketed as a safe destination, says Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Raquel Brown.

While her speech to the Federation's Cabinet on October 26 at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, she described St. Kitts and Nevis’ main marketing aims.

She stated, “We require to understand that restoring the tourism market is going to take the integrity of the brand and it will take the control of the COVID-19 pandemic here in St. Kitts and Nevis.”

She told that the Federation has been recognised for the control of COVID-19 cases and that the achievement in surviving the COVID-19 virus is what the St. Kitts Tourism Authority proceeds to emphasise in every bit of discussion.

“It will take our all an all of community approach because it is not about watching the travellers when they come in here, but us as citizens and residents and our part in assuring that St. Kitts and Nevis their integrity and the administration of the brand,” she stated.

“We have always been recognised not to be overpopulated and there are lots of areas that are secluded; we have a lot of outside activities and rainforest treks; we have boutique-style resorts that fall on constructive uniqueness in the sense that they are not large and so they attach to what the destination has to give,” Brown continued.

“Yachting is a precious and significant niche market to the Federation, and with all that has occurred with stayover visiting, specifically accommodations and also with the cruise division, we’ve looked at yachting to help us to provide some of the need for our locals here who have professions that would have commonly have done food services to baking marriage cakes to doing wedding plan services and so the yachting business we hope will give a source of income from what has been clearly cut off from not holding the cruise,” the Chief Executive Officer said.
