In the past few years, cryptocurrency gained more mainstream popularity. The global business is now turning to digital currencies, and many people are beginning to endorse crypto on public platforms.
Due to its high volatility, crypto investors are now opting for a more safe and more secure place to be in by choosing second citizenship in the Caribbean. A recent study revealed that crypto investors are now choosing a place where they can work while living healthy and a high standard of life.
Second citizenship has emerged as one of the hottest investment options for people interested in cryptocurrencies. According to a report by a blockchain data platform, people are now more interested in living in a country which is stable both politically and economically and provides them with an opportunity to work from the lap of nature as most of the Caribbean countries offer lush green rainforests and deep blue ocean. The report also revealed that the most popular cryptocurrencies in the market, which are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Ripple, Solana, Tether and many others, are having big jumps in terms of their value and with the value, people are more curious about their future.
Mohammad Abdeen of ABL Holdings said that people who invest in crypto are also looking for more modern investment methods. He said that a large number of crypto investors and miners are showing great interest in citizenship by investment programmes more specifically of Dominica, as it enables one an easy alternative option to have a plan B in a different country. He emphasized that investment into citizenship by investment programme through crypto is not permitted; however, the people who deal with digital currency exchange are keen to invest in economic citizenships.
Citing reasons for the increased demand, Abdeen stated there are currently five countries in the Caribbean that provide second citizenship to foreign investors in exchange of a financial contribution. He said the island economies, such as the Commonwealth of Dominica, are highly stable, and the local Eastern Caribbean currency is also pegged to the US dollar.
"If we talk about Caribbean countries, Dominica has a safe environment; it is economically and politically stable. There are no or very low cases of crime reported, especially towards foreign investors. All of these factors combined to make it a very desirable location to be part of. The internet connectivity in Dominica is also one of the fastest in the region, making it even more suitable for crypto-miners and investors," Mohammad Abdeen of ABL Holdings.
"People who invest in cryptocurrencies are highly ambitious, they are always seeking new, different types of investment options, and citizenship by investment is the most secure type of investment. It is also longstanding, as a person can also transfer it to their future generations," stated Abdeen while discussing the increased demand for CBI Programmes among crypto investors.
He stated that the citizenship by investment programme of Dominica is one of the oldest and most long standing economic citizenship in the world. Abdeen also added that it has been ranked as the world's number 1 for five consecutive years in the CBI Index released by PWM Magazine of Financial Times. He stated that the global ranking is also the reason attracting crypto investors to CBI programmes.Abdeen added that all people who apply for second citizenship of Dominica undergo a multi-layered due diligence process carried out by the government and third party agencies.
"When you apply for citizenship in Dominica, you are subjected to background checks. With this thorough filtration, only legitimate people are granted citizenship. This also ensures that the peace and security of the country remain ideal for people, which I think is a major reason for more crypto enthusiasts are now investing in a second citizenship,” said Mohammad Abdeen.Latest
