Scott Furssedonn-Wood appointed as British High Commissioner to Dominica
Scott Furssedonn-Wood has been appointed as the British High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The British Diplomatic missions in the Caribbean stated that Furssedonn presented his credentials to the Dominican President Charles Savarin and Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on Tuesday.
"The presentation marked his accreditation as British High Commissioner to the nature isle; highlighting opportunities for deeper cooperation between our countries," wrote the UK in the Caribbean on Twitter.
Furssedonn said he is proud to be British High Commissioner to Dominica. He thanked President Charles Savarin and PM Roosevelt Skerrit for their warm welcome and commitment to the strong and enduring partnership. He said he is looking forward to work with Dominica.Scott Furssedonn-Wood is also the British High Commissioner to Barbados & Eastern Caribbean and was appointed in April 2021. He is also the non-resident High Commissioner to Grenada, St Vincent & the Grenadines, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda.
He was based in the US for five years, from 2008 to 2013, where he was the Head of Strategic Threats and Head of the Political Section at the British Embassy in Washington DC.
Before Washington, he was at the Foreign Office in London as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for the Middle East & South Asia. During that time, he travelled to more than fifty countries, including India and its neighbours.
He holds an MA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Merton College, Oxford University, and an MBA from Open University.
