WATCH: Young people raise Caribbean disaster concerns

Engaged young nationals have been working to raise awareness of how climate change affects the region.
Unprecedented hurricanes in September have raised issue small islands developing states’ (SIDS) vulnerability, not only from the angle of environmental risks but also from the social and economic perspectives.
They have been speaking at COP23, the informal name for the 23rd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The UNFCCC was adopted in 1992 at the Rio Earth Summit, which marked the beginning of the international community’s first concerted effort to confront the problem of climate change.
